Art students win region-wide scholastic awards

Four students won awards at the 2021 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Sophomore Kyla Richmond won a Silver Key Award with her painting, Emotion, and senior Savannah Grantham won a Silver Key Award with her painting, Prickly Pears. This is the first time that a student from the school has won this award. Senior Ethan Elizarraraz (with a digital painting, Night in the Woods) and sophomore Lamya Richmond (with a pencil drawing, Body Positivity) both won Honorable Mentions as well.
