Disney is one of the world’s largest multimedia entertainment companies with a net worth estimated to $260.6 billion as of November 2019, and with the highly anticipated addition of Disney+, the corporation is now at the top amongst all streaming agencies in the states.

Disney+ launched Nov. 12 in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. Disney’s empire has grown exponentially since October 16, 1923 to today, and with the extension of Disney+, there is a new age of entertainment for all types of audiences. With Disney+, subscribers have access to applications like Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic movies, shows and/or documentaries. Original shows, movies, throwbacks, live-action films, documentaries and everything you can ask for from a streaming app is accessible. And the best part about Disney+ is that it’s $6.99 a month compared to Netflix, which is $8.99 for basic streaming.

Benefits with Disney+ are that it is less expensive than Netflix, basic to premium, yet it still provides high quality that fans expect. If your phone service provider is with Verizon, you get a year of Disney+ free. But, arguably, the best deal would be the bundle package you can purchase at only double the price, making it $12.99 a month. This is a 3-deal bundle which includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. If you are already a Disney+, Hulu and/or ESPN+ subscriber, the service will adjust the amount charged to your account for those subscriptions.

Disney is also quick to fix any issues with its streaming service. After launching, eager subscribers had experiences with glitches and minor drawbacks from the app, however there has been a significant decline in complaints after the first day.

Now available in places like Australia and New Zealand, Disney+ now has international access to Disney, Marvel and Star Wars fans. Children and adults alike love the service, meaning the demographic has expanded greatly. With this expansion, Disney really has built a world for everyone, as they say “the vault is wide open.”
